Easter week Tablescape Inspiration

Flowers always set the tone for a table and the tablescape.

Gathering your items for tabletop isn’t just for place settings but also decor.  Decide your color scheme and for a tip, I always start with my flowers.  Then build on that with vases or flower vessels, napkins, glassware, stemware, plates and items for the theme or candles.  This vessel above is a European bucket found in Round Top, TX antique shop from France.  The pretty plates are vintage ironstone from a small business on Instagram.  I always try to support small business and reuse and repurpose things. (There are so many small shops online and especially Instagram.)  This keeps inventory to a minimal if you can help with this issue of too many plates…

Choosing a table runner is another way to start a table.  There are so many varieties cloth, natural woven, paper and even faux grasses.  So many options for you and using risers helps to elevate the items and gives dimension on the table.

Next for your tablescape gather your decor and in this setting I have low candles  and a couple of vignette items.  Grouping your items together in one spot is a vignette so you can use what ever you choose .  I gathered small ceramic bunnies and glass butter knife rest with napkins and plates.

These soft pinks and greens brought my attention to the pink linens for this Easter table or spring table.  I used pink glassware from World Market.  Linens are all from Homegoods.  When shopping stop by and stroll  those isles and pick your favorites and get a couple of sets of linens  to have on hand.  Setting a table with  items on hand will make the table styling so much more fun and easy.  Nothing like having to stop and go out and purchase napkins.  When you see things like linens e.g napkins and table runners pick them up.  Trust me you will make the task at hand much more enjoyable.

Sharing a couple of other table settings for a spring table or perfect for an Easter table.  An absolute favorite vase of mine is the Minka from Anthropologie.  The one in photos is the Medium.  I have the large and the small low one, all so perfect all year long.

If you found this blog post interesting and want to see moee add your email to my list and I will send you the notice of a new post.

Until the next design tip… keep those ideas going.

Happy Styling,

Lillian
